Matteo is an Enrolled Agent licensed by the IRS, a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER, and an active volunteer with the AARP Foundation Tax-Aide, where he leads a site providing free tax preparation in Las Vegas. He is also a proud member of the Garrett Planning Network as an advice-only adviser aligning with his commitment to transparent, client-first service.
His journey to founding Bird Spring Tax started with a leap of faith. After leaving a data engineering career, he explored everything from sports betting to freelancing in data science for clients in the financial services sector. Along the way, he realized his true passion lies in helping people navigate complex financial decisions.
At Bird Spring Tax, he combines technical expertise with a proactive planner’s mindset to deliver proactive tax strategies and practical advice. The name “Bird Spring” reflects his love for mountain biking and hiking in the Bird Spring Range near Las Vegas—freedom and flexibility he wants for his clients too.
